Wallaby Willington were active in Leeds between 2004 and 2006. We were a group of close friends who played lush indie-folk-pop songs influenced by Neutral Milk Hotel, Sufjan Stevens, Captain Beefheart, The Mountain Goats etc. The band was John Perry (vocs)/ Beth Atkinson (Accordian, vocs)/Oli Robinson (bass, banjo, vocs)/ Laurence Byrne (guitar, vocs)/ Hannah Cooper (Trombone, glockenspiel, vocs)/Barney (percussion)/ Rich Taylor (violin, vocs). Band members now play in The New Nathan Detroits, Beth Atkinson (natch), Staerimto, the Wednesday Club, The Broken Chairs, Tillykke Kattemor, The Rocky Nest and still regularly play and collobarate on each other's recordings.
