WAKING KILLS THE DREAM Was started in Early 2002 by Kevin Byers. {EX MORNING AGAIN} And Matt Tackett {12 TRIBES}. When the band was started they set out to do something different than what was going on at that time in the scene, A little more diverse than most. After being a band for a month, they set out to record their first demo 'Chasing angels', which can also be heard on the America's Hardcore compilation, and begun to slowly play everywhere they could, to whomever was interested and have since then started building up a following. Their sound has attracted a great number of kids from all different genres of the punk and hardcore scene. Their music could be described as a very special blend of melody and hardcore dynamics. Throughout their existence they have gone through some major changes. Since the birth of the band they have changed 4 out of the six original members. This would be dramatically to most of the bands, but Kevin and Matt's dream would live on. The response to the new line up has been excellent, and the have forged on to the next chapter in their young carreer as a band. Recently signing to GOOD LIFE RECORDINGS, the bands first full length was released in the Fall of 2K2, getting great response all over the globe.
