WAKING ATLANTIS formed in the summer of 2009 under the name I, OF THE BEHOLDER. The band was formed by David, Ryan, and Johnny with the intentions of making something brutal happen while maintaining Christian subject matter. It was not long until the band found Brian and began to write. By October, WAKING ATLANTIS had a full set and was ready to record and start playing shows. There was only one problem... NO LEAD GUITARIST. Luckily however, this happened to be the month that Curtis would respond to an ad for a much needed lead player and be the answer to [WA]'s prayers.
