WONDERLAND DEMENTATION DEPT. is mental guerilla warfare through a melodic hardcore sound. Inventive grooves and heavy riffs are complemented by radical lyrics with catchy hooks and melodies. The seed for DEMENTATION was planted in Gothenburg, Sweden, by a few individuals sick and tired of the conformity in heavy rock music. By mixing influences from hardcore, metal, emocore and sludge with the addition of melodies, a distinctive sound emerged. Dementation worked very hard through a number of line-ups and incarnations, writing new songs and playing live around Gothenburg and Sweden through most part of 2004. In early 2005 Dementation finally entered the studio to record their long awaited fullength album The Awkward Silence. In March a teaser was released, Hypnosis bacame the first single from the fullength album and recieved excellent reviews for its unique style.
