Within Ceres is a six-piece progressive metal band based in Goa, India. Guitarist and producer Odin Desa formed the band in 2014 in order to participate in the Indian semi-professional rock band competition Searock. The band has cycled through many members over the years, and now consists of Odin Desa on guitar and production, Arnold Carvalho on vocals, Naizian Fernandes on keys, Kadesh Dsouza on guitars, Nathan Fernandes on drums, and Valiston Fernandes on bass. They are notable for being one of the few Goa-based metal bands. The band's concept is as follows: “Ceres is an artificial reality that exists in the future. Users enter this reality through a headset much more advanced than our current VR devices and are free to travel and exist in any reality that they wish to be in. The use of Ceres is extensive as the world has progressed in the past 60 years, shriveling and deteriorating with time. We are talking about concrete jungles with neon signboards everywhere. To escape this dystopian world, users like to find themselves in a place of their liking. Lost, somewhere Within Ceres."
