Hailing from Seattle, WA, Whish is an artist who defies convention. Growing up, he honed his craft playing the saxophone in jazz ensembles and symphonies, setting the foundation for a deep and soulful connection to music. At 17, he made a bold move to Los Angeles for college, only to drop out after three semesters to chase his dreams full-time. Whish’s journey has been anything but smooth, marked by a series of jobs to make ends meet and a chaotic path that has only strengthened his dedication to his art. Whish’s music is a reflection of his life—each track a sonic recreation of the moments that have shaped him. Formerly known as 'WHiSHMAN' and 'Brae Woods,' his current moniker is a nod to his last name, 'Whitman,' and represents a mind forever lost in imagination and dreams. With an eclectic taste in music, Whish creates for dreamers and those who cherish melody and poetry. His sound is for those who live unapologetically, embracing their truth with effortless authenticity.
