Vyvienne Long is an Irish cellist, most famous for being a member of Damien Rice's band. She played on all of Damien Rice's albums and in many of his live shows. She also plays the piano and sings. Vyvienne Long has played some solo gigs since 2005, and she released her debut EP 'Birdtalk' in Ireland in October 2006. Her onstage band is made up of three cellos, piano, double bass and drums. Her new album, Caterpillar Sarabande, includes the well known track 'Happy Thoughts'. She had what one describes as "a stellar gig" in The Sugar Club in Dublin in February.
