VYVIAN is a real band. Its three heads develop their creative potential in their most personal and participative project so far. A straight-forward, transparent and clear sound is what makes this band so personal and true. The 13 tracks in this album are saying, from the first to the last, that this ain’t no joke. Vyvian has turned from an initial pastime between friends playing for other bands into a real and serious project with its own priorities, and an increasing number of fans due to their stunning live appearances at clubs in and around Barcelona, which started in early 2006. Barcelona’s Vyvian reminds anyone who has ever heard post-punk bands like Joy Division and the Chameleons of those exact bands, plus a few more. But it also reminds you of the 90’s of The Pixies or XXI century indie stars like Interpol, but nothing really seems too close, nor too far. There’s an immediate feel of classic in the air.
