1. Voltare was formed by members Sam Lawrence, Dylan Fuentes, and Victoria Blair in October 2010. They had just moved from Orange County to Chico California for school and to get away from the stuck up, overcrowded, pretentious music scene of Southern California. They soon ran into many problems in Chico. The biggest problem they faced was not having a place to practice, because their neighbors were such assholes. “The drums shake our whole house”, said Asshole Neighbors. They eventually started driving down the street and practiced in their van. They started recording their first album “That’s Why Was” in Sam’s bedroom over the summer of 2011. All the recording, mixing, artwork, and assembling of the CD cases were all made by hand by the band. Voltare is a true D.I.Y. band. They are currently in the process of writing new songs and playing as many shows as possible. 2.
