Artist
Volt9 was born and raised in the centre of the Netherlands and at a very early age he became infected through everything that produced a sound. His parents owned a club at that time and once he got the chance you could find him in the DJ boot playing with the records on Technics sl1200's and the lights. He was mad about a Casio small keyboard (basically a toy) with a 2 seconds sampler option. At the age of 16 he met a friend who was discovering the world of producing electronic dance music. He joined him and they bought all sorts of analogue instruments and slowly a studio was created. He also started live-acts at underground acid parties and in local clubs all over the Netherlands. After a lot of live-acts and DJ performances he went solo and started to use his current name Volt9. He quited with live-acts to upgrade his producing skills to a releasing level. Then he met DJ/Producer Rutec and they started a collab called OmenOm which produces Techno and Tech House. With releases on Volt9 Records his first success with OmenOm is a fact: Biafra played by John Digweed, Pole Folder and many others. Volt9 is the label boss of Volt9 Records but he is also signed by labels like Subtec Records Denmark and by the famous Outland Records Amsterdam relaunched by Dj Jerome and Artform label boss Jamie Anderson. With many releases scheduled in the future, the sun is always shining in the rainy Netherlands for Volt9. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA Licen
