Vladimir Gorlinsky was born in 1984 in Moscow. His works have been broadcasted in Europe, Asia and Australia and performed by ensembles and soloists such as trumpeter Marco Blaauw (Netherlands), pianist Ulrich Murtfeld (Germany), ensemble 'Klangforum Wien' (Vienna, Austria), 'de Ereprijs' (Apeldoorn, Netherlands), 'KlangNetz' (Berlin, Germany), 'Studio for New Music' (Moscow, Russia), 'eNsemble' (St.-Petersburg, Russia), 'Nostri temporis' (Kiev, Ukraine). V. Gorlinsky graduated from Moscow Conservatory (composition under supervision of V. G. Tarnopolsky) and is presently a faculty fellow at Moscow Conservatory towards master degree in composition. He had excellent opportunity to attend master-classes with Jean Geslin, Tristan Murail, Marc-Andre Dalbavie, Philippe Hurel, Louis Andriessen, Martijn Padding, Richard Ayres, Brice Pauset, Brian Ferneyhough, Manos Tsangaris and Beat Furrer. V. Gorlinksy spend a lot of time experimenting with traditional, ethnic and instruments invented by his own imagination. In 2002 he was awarded 1st prize at the 'Schnittke International Competition'. Also he won the prize at Jurgenson Competition (2007), next year he won Grand prize at the festival 'Pythian games' in St.-Petersburg. His piece 'S’Morzando' had been played at the 'ISCM 2007' in Hong-Kong. The piece 'Beiklang 2' has been featured in two categories by 'Rostrum'.
