Viva Revolución came together as a band in October 2004. Sir Kevin, Candy Iliza and Jefonda (who later quit the band in 2005) had geared up on some instruments and amplifiers (which were given to them by Broder Daniel) and started writing songs in a rehearsal space in Masthugget. In parallel to this Lord Jake had written some music together with Sir Kevin under the working title The Bourgeois Assault Group. By combining the two projects and inviting Jojo and Patrik Patrik to the band, they found their unique sound and named themselves Viva Revolución. The first booking was at Valand art school in Gothenburg. Several more performances followed as Viva Revolución began to get a reputation. Viva was offered to play the Music Fest NW in Portland, Oregon in 2006, but had to decline due to personal reasons. Recording has always been a vital part in the life of Viva Revolución. Only a couple of months after forming the band they recorded their first songs That means I love you and Ghosts and Fairytales (later re-recorded in 2006) in Kristian Anttila's studio. The most ambitious attempt to date is the recording of No drugs, no guns, that was done over the period of five months by Kalle Gustafsson from the Soundtrack of Our Lives in his studio Svenska Grammofonstudion. The band is currently in search for a record label to release this song as the bands debut single. Sir Kevin is the natural front person of the band. Hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota in the USA, he moved to Sweden
