1) Virta: https://virtaband.com "I am holding a power cable in my wet hands. Not like I'm intended to do so, but something has stopped me. A certain flow in the air. It takes a moment to analyze it, but definitely in a good way - just like everything which isn't predigested. And why am I trembling? I know it's not electricity, because I had placed the cable to the plug two songs ago, unnoticed. It's the music of Virta which has taken me somewhere else. Not a traditional electric shock, that's for sure. Virta is a Finnish instrumental trio which combines textures of Scandinavian jazz and post-rock with avant-garde sensibilities. These barely 20-year-olds are crashing the barriers and blending the opposites with such a fearless and adventurous vision, that comparisons to the names like Jaga Jazzist, Supersilent and Nils Petter Molvaer have to be made. Started in Spring 2011 and only a handful of fierce shows in their pocket, this exceptionally versatile group marches it's own unconventional way of expression." -Per Svanburg / New Music Community 2) Virta is the channel of the musical ambitions of Santtu Forsström hailing from Kristiinankaupunki - alluring small town located at the beautiful West Coast of Finland. This nature-praising and original music draws its influences from folk and progressive folk-rock, and the music of five tracks of this fourty-minute album is woven together with drums, percussions, lively bass, acoustic guitars and woodwind instruments.
