Violetic are a three piece alternative/post-punk band that formed in early 2013 in Bournemouth, UK before moving to London. The band was originally formed of Mitch Johns and Christina Lopez after meeting at a gig put on by Rory Dickinson in Bournemouth. In December 2014, Violetic self-released their debut three track studio EP 'Ethanol' through their Bandcamp store and started playing their first London shows at the start of 2015, including opening for Man Without Country, Echo Lake and playing alongside Marriages for their first ever UK show. In November 2015, Violetic released a live session both as a Youtube video and as a free audio download through their Bandcamp site. The live session featured two new, unreleased songs 'Treese' and 'Bruiser' and was surrounded by the band opening for Ringo Deathstarr at London's Electrowerkz. 'Figure It Out', Violetic's most recent single was released in March 2016 with the band curating a release exhibition at London's Servant Jazz Quarters. Violetic's sound has predominantly been described as 'dark', 'melodic', 'anxious' and 'cinematic'. The compound
