Vinia Mojica is best known for her contributions to the Native Tongues collective, especially her vocals on the track "A Roller Skating Jam Named "Saturdays"" released in 1991 on De La Soul's second album, De La Soul is Dead. Mojica has been featured primarily on albums by hip hop musicians such as De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Pete Rock and most recently with DJ Hi-Tek, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, DJ Spinna and Common. She has also recorded and performed with Mary J. Blige, Groove Collective, Alliance Ethnik, Heltah Skeltah and Youssou N'Dour as well as musicians like Chocolate Genius, Arto Lindsay, and Cibo Matto.
