Victor Leksell (Lars Victor Andreas Leksell), born April 4, 1997 in Torslanda, Gothenburg, Västra Götaland, Sweden, is a Swedish singer known through TV4’s music show Idol. In 2020 Leksell became the first artist whose Swedish-language song passed 100 million streams on Spotify. Leksell participated in Idol 2017 where he made it to the Top 21 and qualifying week before being voted off. In 2018, he released “Var du sover’’ and “Tappat’’ (written by William Forsling and Petter Alfredsson), of which the latter in May 2021 had received over 36 million strams on Spotify and ended up in sixth place on the Swedish charts the same year. Leksell has a record contract with Sony Music. In 2019, he released "Allt för mig" and "Klär av dig", of which the former has also been on the Swedish top list. In the summer of 2019, Leksell was nominated in three categories at the Swedish magazine Aftonbladet's competition "Rockbjörnen (Rock bear)’’. He won his first "Rockbjörn (Rock bear)’’ on 13 August 2019 in the category "Årets genombrott (Breakthrough artist of the year)” Leksell was also nominated for "Årets nykomling (Newcomber of the year)’’ at the Swedish "Grammisgalan" in 2020. On August 30, 2019, he released “Bra för dig’’ together with Swedish band Estraden. The song reached number one on the Top 50 in Sweden on Spotify and today the song has over 43 million streams on Spotify.
