Vhyle (real name Kyle) is a multi-instrumentalist, and a native of the Atlanta, GA area. His main areas of music are in death metal, jazz, and ambient/soundscapes. Having a history of contributing to several bands and projects over the years, he currently concentrates his musical efforts towards his post-apocalyptic instrumental solo project, Algarothsyum. He is the creator and only member of the project. Vhyle has recorded and released several songs, demos and albums over the years. He has played and recorded with local Georgia bands Damnesia, Jesus Christler, Malefic, Forbidden Words, and Matt Ebert. He has also contributed to several online collaborations, such as the soundtrack to Apokalypsos (video game in development), Subarctic Heir, Ars Notoria, and others. Several of said recordings can be heard on his webpages on ReverbNation, Intonation and Facebook, as well as Last.fm. Aside from working on new Algarothsyum material, Vhyle is also recording and putting together a solo artist demo; a more guitar-oriented lighter project completely separate from Algarothsyum. Vhyle's influences range from a vast array of death, black, and progressive metal bands, to jazz/fusion and ambient music. His most notable metal influences are Opeth, Emperor, Zyklon, and Forest Stream, among others. Outside of music, Vhyle is currently serving in active duty with the United States Army.
