about

This name refers to two different artists: 1. Vespers (also known as The Vespers) is an indie folk group known for its dueling female vocalists. It's made up of sisters Callie (vocals, guitar, ukulele, banjo, and electric bass) and Phoebe Cryar (vocals, banjo, guitar, ukulele, mandolin and accordion) playing with brothers Taylor (drums and mandolin) and Bruno Jones (guitar and other stringed instruments). They took their name for a term meaning “evening prayer", something a band member came across during high school literature class. The group has released two albums, their latest being 2012's 'The Fourth Wall'. That album was praised by indievisionmusic.com Reviewer Cimarron Hatch called it, "well worth listening to if you appreciate some good old-fashioned bluegrass and folk music— or just plain good music." 2. Vespers is a black metal band from Hagerstown, MD. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
