There is more than one act with this name: 1. Québécois indie rock band 2. German synth pop artist Andreas Sippel 1. Vendôme is a Montréal-based indie rock band formed in 2017, consisting of Bobo Laurent, Cédrik St-Onge, Marco Ema and Tom Chicoine. The band's name is a reference to Montréal's Vendôme metro station. Their first releases were the singles "L'idéal du matin" in 2020 and "VVV" in 2021, followed by their debut album La fable de la grenouille dorée in 2023. 2. Vendôme is the current solo project of Andreas Sippel, former musical mastermind and keyboarder of the legendary German synth pop duo Second Decay. While he started his musical career in the mid 1980s, since 1990 he was successfully releasing five albums, five singles and countless compilation contributions for Second Decay. After the split of Second Decay in 2002 he was working as a producer and engineer in his own recording studio Metamatic, doing a lot of mastering/productions work for classic artists like Guerre Froide, Twilight Ritual, Hidden Agenda, Der Mußikant/Heute and new acts like Martial Canterel, Nina Belief, Sixth June, Lower Synth Department, Tonlos, Trümmerfrau, Polytune, Sadurbia, Bakterielle Infektion, Vox Celesta and many more. Andreas Sippel launched his solo project in 2007, breaking new ground in combining minimal electronics soundscapes with the typical pop attitude of the popular sound of Second Decay.
