Read on to find the in-depth story behind Velvet Insane, by Jesper Lindgren - Guitarist & Songwriter “In 2013, Velvet Insane rose from the ashes of my short-lived, intense career with the deceased legendary Swedish manager Michael Sundèn, who tragically passed away from injuries sustained in a fall at Nottingham Rock City. Distraught at his death but determined not to quit, I decided to invest everything I had in a new musical direction. With my passion for big choruses, melodies and riffs I wrote and recorded demos of songs for a band that in my eyes would be bigger than life itself. After a day on the job at a factory in Sweden, the band got the name "Velvet In Sane". Bass player Jesper Sandström heard that I had something going on and tentatively got in touch about playing together. We decided to put ourselves to the test. He brought along his friend Jonas Eriksson (then drums, now vocals) and the moment we struck the first few chords together it became clear to us all that something special was born.
