There are currently 3 groups listed that share the name Vaudeville: 1) (Minneapolis, MN alternative, hardrock, electronic) Vaudeville, brainchild of Coon Rapids, MN native Christopher Gummeson, began in the fall of 2007. In the summer of 2008 Vaudeville won a battle of the bands competition sending them to Nashville to record their debut album, "Dismantle the Sky" with Chris Mara. During the same summer the band would also win a battle giving them a slot at the Minnesota State Fair. As anticipation for the album grew, Vaudeville landed a show opening for We the Kings, Forever the Sickest Kids, The Cab and Never Shout Never. In the summer of 2009 the band would return to the studio to finish up recording the album and adding the sprinkles to the cake with Joe Churchich of Squeaky Clean Audio. Churchich would end up guiding the band through some of the hardest steps of the recording and distributing process. Vaudeville would be little more then just another band with no direction if it were not for Joe. "Dismantle the Sky" was released only weeks after its final touches in the middle of that very summer. Just recently the album has transferred over to digital and can now be found on the internet. It'll only be a matter of time before the band is noted on itunes and amazon of all place online. In Today's music scene, most notable the state of Minnesota, bands tend to lean toward a pop punk or metal influence rather than something more technical and beautiful and still catchy
