Artist
Brankica Vasić, known as Vasilisa, is a Serbian ethnic/folk singer. She was a member of Sanja Ilić's ensemble Balkanika, and the first singer in Goran Bregović's ensemble. For three years she was at the top of the chart of a French radio station which plays film music. After many years of successful singing career, she decided to record her first solo album, Amanet, which consists of twelve songs. The songs are old ethnic/folk Serbian songs from the province of Kosovo and Metohija and from Macedonia. Some of the songs were recorded in the Serbian Orthodox church Ružica, and received the blessing of the Serbian patriarch Pavle.
