Vaniewèrd Sound System is an alternative dance hall / ragga / reggae formation from Gullegem, Belgium. It was founded by Arne Vanhauwaert, Jarne Gilgemyn and Michiel Verledens, and initially commenced as a side project for Vanhauwaert, who gained national fame with his DJ project ELEKiDS. According to their Facebook page, they bring the hottest dance hall, the coolest ragga and the tastiest reggae, thanks to fluent rhymes, good singing and loads of show. Their first album, Jup A Day, debuted in January 2009 at the Chirohemen in Gullygem, Belgium, and was an immediate success.
