Vangelis Katsoulis (Βαγγέλης Κατσούλης) is a Greek composer and co-founder of record label Utopia born in Athens in 1949. He is credited on a number of releases from the 1980's to the 2000's as a recorder and engineer, Instrumentally, he's mostly known for playing synthesizers and piano. The genres he's most involved in are New Age, Post-Minimalism, Sequencer & Tracker and ECM Style Jazz. Katsoulis still makes music to this day and he is an essential figure for any avid enjoyer of underground Ambient and New Age music.
