Romanian goth rock/darkwave band formed in the spring of 2000 in Timisoara by Alexandru Das. Having performed at the Underground Timisoara Festival, Vals Hedone is musically part of the punk influenced/ post-punk scene of Timisoara, alongside older bands such as Teens on Parade, Arc Gotic and Radical Din Val. In April 2001 the band recorded a 3 track demo and throughout the sumer of 2002 they worked on another demo which was released in November of the same year, and entitled Impactul Vremii Asupra Corzii Emotive (in English: the impact of time on the emotive string). In the winter of 2002 the band filmed a video for the title track and the video was broadcasted on MTV Romania in January 2003. Vals Hedone also released a live material from a concert in Gong Club Timisoara, Live in Gong October 2002, and appeared on a compilation released by Dark Romania web zine.
