Valentine Academy were Sebastian Johansson and Linnea Näsman who created lo-fi twee with simple means, using a 4-track tape recorder. They chose to keep their tracks under 120 seconds to counterbalance the fact that so many pop songs exceeded the magical limit of three minutes. The title of the first record, Adam & Steve - Religion Is Fiction, was like a bolt from the blue during a bath in the sea. Italian label Best Kept Secret released a cassette with Valentine Academy in early 2007, it contained the first record + the unreleased Slow-Fi EP. Valentine Academy were active between 2004-2008.
