Vague Angels is fronted by Chris Leo, who originally began the project in 2004 as part of his book, White Pigeons. The album "Truth Loved" (released on Fifth Planet Press) functions as chapter seven of the book, in which Vague Angels play the fictitious role of The Breaks. In 2006, "Let's Duke It Out at Kilkenny Kats'"(Pretty Activity) became Vague Angels second release. "Kilkenny Katz" features a more minimalistic acoustic approach, as opposed to the earlier "Truth Loved". "Kilkenny Katz'" will share themes with Chris Leo's second book entitled Fifty Seven Octaves Below the Middle C Buzzed by the Bee.
