Greatest Brazilian poet ever. Diplomat, poet, writer and composer, Vinicius de Moraes was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1913. He blended the existing European culture in Rio with the African and native Brazilian ones, creating an entire new style, seed for the Bossa Nova. Vinicius also influenced composers like Tom Jobim, Toquinho, Chico Buarque and others. He died in 1980.
