V-Sor, X formed around 1979 in Lichfield, Staffordshire, UK and continue to release new material today (the album Sun Shooter to be released October 2025). The band had a number of line ups but are now writing and recording with the original line up of Morgan Bryan (l vox, gtr, kbds), Rob Derbyshire(kbds, b vox, gtr) and Ian 'Rolls' Rowland (bass, b vox). Initially they were heavily influenced by the diversity available to them through post-punk. Their sound also then took on shades of minimal electronic, then electronic indie and coalescing in their current alternative electro pop-rock. The band often release through their own DOX Music label, except for the album 'From The Mouth Of No King' which was recorded on clear vinyl by (Earuption) Dossier Records in Berlin and 'A Strip Of Light but Still Too Dark' on Genetic Music in Essen. Discography - Cue (Dox Music, DT11 - cassette album c.1987) - From The Mouth Of No King (Earuption/Dossier Records Berlin c.1989) - A Strip Of Light But Still Too Dark (Genetic Music 2002 and re-released 2019) - Reformer (Dox Music DCD 05 2019) - Sun Shooter (Dox Music DCD 08 2025) They gigged pretty heavily thoughout the 80s mainly around the UK and one date at the Melkweg, Amsterdam. Their followers are very diverse in both musical interests and geography (particularly Germany, the US, Italy and France) User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
