Vötaag is the newest addition to the Avant Brown Collective (Saturated Goat Trumpet, Residual Cod, Tim Allen, Lactation, etc) and is primarily the solo work of Paul Schofield. It is somewhat of a continuation of past projects (Birdsloth, Tujjuuuuujujjuufet) fused with the improvisational nature of the Avant Brown Collective. Musically, Vötaag covers grounds ranging from rhythmic, percussive freak outs, to mind-melting psychedelia, to sound collages, to dissonant, sluggish noise 'rock'. But despite its rather large span of sounds, it all retains the one defining aspect the collective strives for: Ultimate Brown.
