Us, From Outside was a post-hardcore band formed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Us, From Outside was formed by Michael Crimlis and Tommy Sawyer in early 2009. Prior to UFO, Tommy and Michael were involved with different projects while continuing to write music together, until the two decided to take their ideas to the next level calling on James Steiner, Nathan Flood, Ronny August and Jacob Castro to complete the lineup. With influences ranging from Hardcore to R&B;, their sound has a very comforting familiarity while bringing a much needed and completely different style to the scene. It was this unique blend of personalities and backgrounds that would get Us, From Outside recognized and signed to Tragic Hero Records. "We Are Consumed By This. This Is Our Everyday. We Hold On Tight, We Laugh And Then We Scream! Within These Lines We Speak Our Hearts. We Want Nothing More... We Have Nothing Else". They later changed their name to Chasing Safety. The band signed to Tragic Hero Records in 2009 and released their debut album Inspired By The Threat Of Failure on April 27, 2010. A music video was recorded for "I Thought I'd Be Dead by Now". They announced the recording of a new EP that may be released in November, which was updated to in fact be a full-length release. Soon afterward, it was announced that clean vocalist Michael Crimlis would be leaving the band. Kenny Davis, the bassist, then performed clean vocals. Their second full-length album, Revived, was
