Unless You Crave Danger is Matt Bovett, a multi-instrumentalist songwriter from Missouri City, Texas. With a focus on lyrically-honest songwriting, he fuses programmed and performed analog and digital sounds, ignoring genres and pushing sonic boundaries while staying true to his ‘80s/‘90s influences and roots. Working entirely alone, serving as his own writer, producer, engineer, and mixer, he is able to ensure his original visions for his songs are kept intact and served from every possible perspective of the writing and recording process. His most recent releases are the singles "Prey", "Lies" and "The Throes". His debut album “Ch. 1” includes songs “Worthwhile”, “Mess”, “Give”, “Quit Me”, “Against Me”, “Breaking Down”, “Enemy”, “Control” and “Prayers”. He has also released covers of Depeche Mode songs “Fly on the Windscreen”, “Black Celebration”, and “Here Is the House”. Matt currently resides in Austin, Texas, where he writes and records music.
