"October 2005. In a world where it is difficult to assert yourself in the post hardcore/screamo genre, five talented young musicians founded the post hardcore band Unizoo in the heart of the Ruhr area. The five guys put a lot of passion and heart and soul into their creative work, which is reflected in their lyrics and their music. Here, harmonious melodies and vocal passages with a high recognition value meet hard-hitting riffs and misleading screaming. Unizoo has developed into a strong, dynamic and characteristic band since its formation. With a considerable local fan base behind them, they began organizing concerts and touring through NRW in early 2006. A fan base that was initially limited to Bottrop and the surrounding area was able to record more and more followers and break the borders of NRW and even Germany. Whether at their concerts in Bottrop, Frankfurt am Main, Aschaffenburg, Duisburg, Cologne, Essen or other concerts, head-nodders par excellence were indispensable. On their tours they have supported bands of a more well-known caliber such as Dividing the Line (UK), Avenues&Silhouettes (Spain), The Maple Room (Belgium), Callejon, Parachutes or Willschrey.
