Vocal Point is an all-female a capella group, made up of undergraduates at the University of Rochester. Founded in 1969, they sing everything from mo-town to 80s rock to current radio hits, and even the occasional country song; and they arrange all of our music themselves. Vocal Point has grown and changed through the years. Recently, they have toured to places such as Connecticut, Massachusetts, Michigan, and Ohio; and are planning a west coast adventure for the future. They have performed with groups from a variety of colleges, including Cornell University, Williams College, Hamilton College, University of Michigan, and Boston University. In 2000, their recording of "Still In Love" was selected for and now appears on Best of College A Cappella. In 2005 and 2006 they competed in the International Competition of Collegiate A Cappella, and advanced to semi-finals. In 2005 they won Best Soloist for Catey's rendition of "Sweet Ones" and in 2006 they won Best Arrangement for Kristy's arrangement of Joni Mitchell's "River."
