Not to be confused with United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund, there were two punk bands that went by the name UNICEF in the early 1980s. One was a Finnish hardcore punk band that released one EP in 1983 including 3 tracks; Käkimassaa, Orkku and 251. Another was a U.S. hardcore band from Raleigh NC that played from 1983 - 1985. This band featured guitarist Phil Swisher who later went on to play with Corrosion of Conformity and Leadfoot.
