Artist
undermain has appeared in brass bands, punk-thrash and assorted electronic outfits. The earlier projects with the Lords of Discipline and the Bohemian Nightmare quartets, with Tim Triff on drums and Matt Black on a Strat copy were received to acclaim. The debut album, 'Notes on Eating Bread' (1983), remains an underground punk-thrash classic. In the late '80s, undermain collaborated with the electro/psychedelic trio of Jungle Junk, featuring vocalist Cathy Bogatec on bass, Matt Black on the Korg and other assorted crew. Their production of live, raw electro provided a 'revolutionary perspective' on constructed sound. Mixing electronic beats to acid house/deep house/lounge, undermain's current project incorporates drums, synths, sequencers and samplers. The album 'undermain-systems' (2008) was produced at untermain-studios, Frankfurt/Main. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
