Umbrella Bones is one of the many projects by multi-instrumentalist Gavin Kendrick Brown. It contains the softer acoustic songs that he writes with band members Cori Terkeurst and Cory Rivard that are inspired by such bands as Margot & The Nuclear So And So's and Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, among many others. The male and female duet-style vocals bring together the simplistic, yet beautiful melodies that they form with their guitar, piano, banjo, harmonica, and other instrumental accompaniment.
