There are at least seven bands/artists by the name of Umbrella. 6) umbrella is a visual kei/Misshitsu kei band that started its activities on June 13th 2010 in Osaka, Japan. Members: Vocal & Guitar: 唯 (Yui; ex. Nazis, ロキ → LOKI, also solo as 唯) Guitar: 柊 (Syu; ex. LAGING) Bass: 春 (Hal/Haru) Drums: 将 (Sho; ex. LIX.) Ex members: Guitar: zachi (EX-dotrip., LOKI) Drums: Tumi (EX-CELL HEAD, LOKI, アイギス(Support), アヲイ) Guitar: Kazuhiro Negoro (EX-LOKI) Guitar: ルキト (EX-ELLBLEACH, ネクロサァカス, ロキ) Drums: シュウ (EX-ロキ) Guitar: HIDEKI (EX-ロキ) Bass: ta9 (EX-ロキ) Bass:CRJU (EX-ロキ → LOKI) Biography: Their early period is marked by rapid releases and instability. In 2010 they appear on Cure NEW AGE COLLECTIONS Vol.05, followed by the single Powdery Snow. In June 2011, guitarist Hiro and drummer Shu leave the band, forcing a reset just as umbrella are gaining traction. That same summer sees the release of Amayadori, a title that will later become one of the band’s emotional anchors. By the end of 2011 the lineup stabilises. Guitarist Shu joins in October, and umbrella begin to play more consistently in Osaka and Tokyo. Releases like Kasa, Samidare, and their accompanying video works establish a bleak, rain-soaked aesthetic that feels deliberate rather than ornamental. In 2012 umbrella join Starwave Records, releasing Monochrome, Eikyuu Chizu, and collaborative works such as umbrella×Kumasoni.
