Ultan Conlon (born 15 March 1980) is an Irish singer-songwriter from Loughrea, Galway. His debut album 'Bless Your Heart', released in October 2009, was critically acclaimed by HotPress magazine and described as ‘the most impressive Irish debut since Damien Rice’s O’ by the Evening Herald. Conlon has played at various festivals including 'Electric Picnic', the 'Body & soul' festival, Bundorans 'Seasessions' and 'The Hebcelt Festival' alongside Imelda May in Stornoway on the isle of Lewis. Early in his career he supported numerous artists including the late John Martyn, Richard Hawley, Lisa Hannigan, Hermione Hennessy, Mark Geary, Roesy, and David Kitt. Legendary folk singer John Martyn liked his songs so much he sang on 'Really Gone', which was to be Martyn's final release before his untimely death. Ultan's music has featured in the UK short 'The Beholder', which screened at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival. Conlon’s touring band consists of Eoin McCann on guitar, Steven Folan on bass and Cormac Dunne on drums. His second album, "Songs of Love So Cruel", released in 2013, was followed by Last Days of the Night Owl (2018), There's a Waltz (2020), ...
