Uklao is the solo project of Mariano Briceño, singer and composer at m a n g o. Mariano Briceño and Javier Castellanos formed a band in Caracas, Venezuela called m a n g o, this band may be the first emo revival/math-rock band of Venezuela. m a n g o, with Juan Burgos, Javier Castellanos and Mariano Briceño, made a pair of live sessions in a popular indie radio in Caracas (La Mega). They only did that sessions and keep telling people that they'll be coming with new material but the country situations did not worked for that. Juan Burgos went to New York for jazz studies and Mariano went to Mexico for music production studies. Mariano was born in Caracas the November 21ts of 1997. He got into Mexico at 18 y/o, with a refreshed idea of his project and also production ambitions, that was represented in a work of 9 months since he moved out to Mexico, making this self titled debut album, "Uklao", something very characteristic to college and teenager feelings, mixed with some details of post-hardcore and emo references. The idea of the project is to collect all this mixed emotions and put them in simple "10 song" economic bundles, called albums and show the progress in terms of composition and studies of all of the composers involved. Making soundtracks with future references like Snarky Puppy and Hans Zimmer also with this progression of emo, indie, post-harcore, post-rock, math-rock vibe in very very latin twinkle way.
