US5 was a multinational pop boy band formed in 2005 through the German television reality show "Big in America" on RTL II. The group debuted in June 2005 under Lou Pearlman's Transcontinental label and achieved commercial success primarily in Central Europe, particularly with their debut album "Here We Go" and subsequent releases. The band's debut single "Maria", released in 2005, reached number one in Germany and became a successful single in several European countries. The album "Here We Go", released in October 2005, achieved gold and platinum certifications in Germany and Austria. In 2006, the group conducted promotional tours in the United Kingdom, coinciding with the broadcast of the second season of "Big in America" on MTV UK. During this period, "Maria" entered the UK Singles Chart at number 38. The band maintained its popularity in Central Europe through 2006 and 2007. Over time, US5 underwent several lineup changes. Original member Mikel Johnson left the group to pursue a solo career and was replaced by Vincent Tomas. In 2008, Chris Watrin, the only German member at that time, departed the group, citing a lack of interest. The band contributed the single "The Boys Are Back" to the soundtrack of the film "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" and released their third studio album "Around the World" the same year. Later in 2008, Cayce Clayton joined the group. As the majority of members were American, the band relocated to the United States. In 2009, Vincent Tomas le
