U.S. (United Soul) was a project assembled by Garry Shider and Cordell Mosson. They recorded an album with several members of Funkadelic (bar George Clinton) that went unreleased for decades. Westbound Records released only a promo single in 1972, after that Shider and Masson were recruited into Funkadelic instead. The album was finally issued in 2009.
