Tyler Lindgren is a drum set player and audio engineer originally from Fort Collins, CO. Tyler was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1988. Throughout childhood and adolescence, Tyler has been recognized nationally for athletics, academics, and creative expression. The last thirteen years have been a period of exponential growth and musical expansion, starting with humble beginnings of classical training, and as of 2012, working with Grammy winning artists playing drums, doing music production for Colorado bands, and studying audio engineering at the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences. Since age of three, sticks and noisemakers have been a large part of life. In 1999, the pots and pans were replaced with snare drums, xylophones, and sheet music. Throughout time at Preston Junior High and Fossil Ridge High School (both in Ft. Collins, CO) Tyler was first chair percussionist and section leader for jazz bands, jazz combos, concert band, symphonic band, orchestra, marching band, and choirs. Throughout this time Tyler studied percussion privately with Shilo Stroman of Colorado State University. Separate from academia, Tyler played in and recorded with various bands, playing every style from punk rock to free jazz. By 2005, Tyler had recorded with five different bands in studios across the state of Colorado and came to the realization that learning the audio engineering and composing side of music would bring a greater understanding of being in music production as a who
