Tyler Smith is a singer-songwriter influenced by such artists as Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Willie Nelson, Damien Rice, Bright Eyes, Jimmie Rodgers and various other artists from the folk, singer-songwriter and blues traditions. He began making music with the band Lydia's Address in 2003. The band released one e.p. (in addition to a re-release featuring three bonus tracks) which they recorded in Dubuque, IA and Nashville, TN. They broke up in 2006, at which point Tyler began focusing on his solo material. Tyler has only made limited appearances as a solo artist and has not yet officially released an album or e.p. His self-produced recordings are available only from his myspace (www.myspace.com/tylerclairsmith) and his virb account (www.virb.com/tylerclairsmith), though other recordings have circulated on a very limited basis between.
