Two Cent Sam is an indie rock band from Long Island, NY that formed in late 2008. Members are Michael Logiudice (vocals/guitar), Jeff Burke (guitar), Matt Shaw (bass), Dan Hodgkinson (keyboard) and Pete Bienkowski (drums). Their sound has been described as 60's pop meets new age alt rock. In January 2010 the band released their first Ep titled "Give & Take World" which has 6 songs and runs just over twenty minutes in length. The Ep was recorded at Cloud 9 studios in East Islip NY in sessions throughout November 2009 with Joe and Jack Napoli. The track "OBI Song" has been given critical acclaim and some have hailed it as a anathem. "It's lyrics are a wonderful reflection on the culture of Long Island and the pain of losing such a landmark place to political bickering" (Billy Joel-2010). The band currently gig's constantly on Long Island and in the NY metro area and has announced plans to record a new full length album in 2011.
