There are two bands with the same name: 1)Turdus Merula is an ambient black metal project from Gothenburg, Sweden, created in the spring of 2007 by the only member Dísa. She cites as her main influences bands such as Burzum, early Mortiis and Summoning. Turdus Merula released the first demo titled "Paths of Life" in 2008, and two full-length, "Herbarium" in 2010 and "Mentem Recipere" in 2011, both with the French label Le Crépuscule du Soir. Dísa also contributes actively in the bands Murmurs and Niðurdrepandi, where she composes and play a major part of the music.
