There are multiple artists with this name: 1) Tuonela was a black metal band from Tampere, Finland, formed in 1996. The band released two official demo tapes, "Metsän Pimennossa" in 1997 and "Peikkometsä" in 1998. Before their split around 2002 they also recorded several promo and rehearsal tapes which were not released at large. Some of the band members have also played in Baptism, Valonsurma, Uncreation's Dawn, Urn, Famulus ab Satanas and Sacrilegious Impalement. 2) Tuonela is a sound artist from Sydney, Australia. Self-described as producing "hand-crafted soundscapes and nocturnal noise", he is a primitive musician who makes sounds using very basic software. He still doesn’t have a synthesiser and has no idea how Ableton works.
