Tunneling Through Earth (TTE) is the brainchild of Daniel Briggs. Daniel was born in Maine and lived there for most of his life. His mother taught him basic guitar chords and he took off with music on his own from there. He started playing guitar in his church around the age of 15 and joined a local band, then called “Yada”, when he was 16 years old. However, this was short lived as the band was located far from his hometown and Daniel wanted to finish high school. Since then, Daniel has received his Bachelors degree in psychology at the University of Maine and is currently attending Husson University. He has continued jamming with other local musicians and involving himself in independent musical projects. Daniel has a passion for music and is continually listening to new bands. TTE has finished their EP "As Hawks Do" wich is now available to purchase through Amazon.mp3. The EP is composed of mostly instrumental compositions with one song, “Wrestling A Bear”, containing progressive-scat vocalizations (nonsensical vocal sounds). TTE is currently working on mastering songs for TTE’s upcoming LP “As Hawks Do” which includes songs from their EP "As Hawks Do", but will contain more songs with vocalizations. Despite his upbringing, Daniel considers himself and his music agnostic. The style can be described as a mix of experimental, abstract, post-rock, new age, progressive, alternative, indie, low-fi, slow-core, ambient, shoegaze and space-rock. Discography: As Hawks Do (EP) -
