Tunefunk is the solo electronic venture of a veteran musician with a diverse and formal background in composition and performance. Evolving from a career as a bass player and multi-instrumentalist, Tunefunk channels decades of experience in jazz combos, pop/rock, and soul/funk bands into a unique brand of instrumental electronic music. With a music teacher degree and an early mastery of piano and guitar, his compositions are characterized by a deep sense of musical theory and complex groove structures. This foundation allows him to effortlessly navigate genres, creating an intricate soundscape influenced by a broad spectrum of artists: from the soulful sophistication of Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield, to the instrumental innovation of Miles Davis and Air, and the electronic depth of Jazzanova, Junior Boys, and Kraftwerk. The resulting sound is a captivating blend of Deep House, Down-Tempo, and instrumental electronica that appeals equally to jazz aficionados and electronic music enthusiasts. After years of composing for various groups, Tunefunk began recording his solo material with the release of the album Volume 1 in August 2006, followed by the Vibe EP in July 2008. Both works established his signature style and are available across all major digital platforms.
