Country Rock / Bluegrass outfit from Sweden. Existed from 1995 to 2000. Members included Johan Dereborn, Roger Gustafsson, Jana Persson, Robert Wirensjö, Lennart Westberg, Staffan Brodén, among others. The band was characterized by strong melodic songwriting, pronounced vocal arrangements and highly skilled instrumental performance. Stong influences from early Eagles, Poco, CS&N, The Flying Burrito Brothers and similar bands, but also traces of more recent country artists, such as Brooks&Dunn, John Michael Montgomery and Alan Jackson. Tumbleweed Trail hosted weekly country nights at clubs in Stockholm and in Visby, with prominent guest artists, including E-Type, Tommy Körberg, Göran Ringbom, Mats Ronander, Annika Ljungberg, to name but a few. A series of concerts performed at Grönalundsteatern were recorded and broadcast on national radio. The band also performed on a popular national TV-show, together with euro dance artist E-Type.
